This depends on needs, wants, and available space. First we will see how much available space you have on your roof by doing a site inspection. Once we determine the amount of available space and take a look at your energy usage in the home we can let you know how many panels will fit into that space and tell you how much that will offset your electric bill each month. Our goal is to offset 100% of your utility bill with solar electricity.
Yes! There is a newly approved tool on the market that appraisers are using to accurately and consistently assess the value of a rooftop solar PV system. We provide this report with every solar proposal we create. ADDED BONUS: Solar is exempt from your property taxes (Texas Tax Code Section 11.27). Your property taxes won't go up because of your new solar system!
At StarPower we understand our customers’ need to keep up to date with the highest technology in the market. However, in an effort to always provide our customers with the highest savings, we recommend going solar as early as possible. In this decision, we wage in the factor that electric rates continue to rise. Therefore, the result of waiting means losing money overall, that could have otherwise been saved.
The answer to this question varies depending on your specific location and individual situation. Most rebates can be assigned to StarPower. The homeowner collects tax incentives. We can send one of our consultants, who would love to assist with answering any questions related to tax incentives and rebates in your area.
All of our installations require a system interconnect. Unless there is an electric storage system available, our systems won't power a home during a blackout. We can incorporate a battery backup system if you have the need. However, homes that have been removed from the grid have no access to an available rebate. You would still qualify for a 30% federal tax credit.
Absolutely, the state did it for you! It's called HB362 and was passed in 2011. You will still need HOA approval, but you won't run into problems getting your solar system approved. While there are certain guidelines that must be adhered to, solar is not something your HOA can prevent you from installing. We handle the HOA.
StarPower wants to get rid of our customer’s electricity cost. By carefully analyzing our clients home consumption, we can offset their electric bill and allow them to own a clean source of electric power. All for the same amount of money or less than they would otherwise be spending to their utility provider. Our customers save money in the long run by securing the current market rate for electricity and being able to generate their own electricity in the future.
Our company works with the top lenders in the country. Our lenders update their financing plans to offer the most competitive interest rates and long-term financing plans in the market. They have 5, 10, 15 and 20 year options. We also offer cash discounts, as well as veteran and first responder discounts.
Your new solar system will be warrantied for 25 years. So that's what we promise. There are solar installations that have been in operation for over 45 years. Like most things, long term maintenance is key. Since we handle the first 25 years under our warranty, your system should still be cranking out clean, renewable solar energy well past its expected lifespan.
